Kangana Ranaut turns director

After receiving rave reviews for her on screen performances, Bollywood Actress Kangana Ranaut has now taken the director’s seat for a scene in her upcoming Bollywood film ‘Katti Batti’ which is set to release in September 2015.

The actress has directed the first seven minutes of the movie, which also stars Imran Khan.

The sequence, directed by Ranaut, features herself and Khan in a somewhat intimate scene. Usually, no one on the set is allowed to touch the camera, apart from the cinematographer but the Bollywood Diva took his permission before using the hand-held camera. She even gave him Rs.1 to allow her to use the camera as its a ritual to pay the cameraman a token amount before using his camera

We’re told that the entire scene was captured in one shot. “How she wanted to direct the scene was entirely Kangana’s call, and everyone, including the films director Nikhil Advani, was shown the scene later,” says the source.

When contacted, Kangana confirmed the news, saying, “I explored the other side of the camera for the first time. Even though it was for a short duration, it was a great experience. It was nerve-racking.”
