Movie Review: Dil Dhadakne Do
Movie Review: Dil Dhadakne Do
Rating: 4/5
Director: Zoya Akhtar
Star Cast: Anil Kapoor, Shefali Shah, Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Rahul Bose
Small but rich families in India have their own funny issues, those in long run gives pain and frustration. Perfect presentation of these issues with a wonderful story and very well delivered dialogues written by Farhan Akhtar. Commencing part of movie is bit slow, but as said, slow and steady wins the race, movie is steadily moving to a pace, which gives the audience certain amount of time to absorb the fun in the scenes. Talking about acting, Anil Kapoor is so energetic and a pleasure to watch. Ranveer and Priyanka were the heart of story and their acting set a benchmark for them. Though Anushka and Farhan did not get much of the movie time, but Farhan’s work is appreciable. Shefali Shah seen after long long time, seems that she justified her role.
Music is another point of enjoyment and songs are very refreshing and naturally choreographed. Priyanka and Farhan has got great voice. Try to guess, which portion of song has their voice.
Story is little known but its way of presentation makes it very different. Enjoyment, class, richness, pain, agony, frustration and above all narration by a dog named Pluto Mehra (His voice entitles him for a post of his own), part of the mehra family, is something that is an eye opener. Human and animal point of view! What an explanation.
Conclusion is, must watch and my ratings 4 out of 5
