Neerja: Emotional Journey begins for Sonam Kapoor

While there is no news on  Sonam and Salman’s ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ that may be taking a huge hit due to Salman’s sentenced in for 5 yrs in Jail, Sonam moved on to her next project.

Sonam was excited to announce her role in  incoming ‘Neerja’ and revealed her ‘Neerja’ look for her fans.  Sonam will be playing the lead role as Neerja Bhanot, who lost her life trying to save the lives of passengers from terrorists onboard the hijacked Pan Am Flight 73 on September 5, 1986.

Neerja born in Brahmin family and a daughter of a Mumbai-based journalist, was the senior flight purser on the ill-fated Pan Am Flight 73.  After the unfortunate event she became the youngest recipient of India’s highest civilian award for bravery, the Ashok Chakra.The film will surely bring out the real life hero that most people don’t know about.  This Neerja tributary film is being directed by Ram Madhavani, produced by Fox Star Studios and Bling Unplugged and story written by Saiwyn Quadras.  Sonam Claims it to be her ‘most special’ film as she begins her journey as ‘Neerja’.

Another essential role is played by the lengendary actress Shabana Azmi.
