However, it was not until 1973 that Singh was offered a leading role in the film, Rickshawala. The film’s success catapulted her into stardom.

In the following years, Singh acted in many successful films such as Kabhi Kabhie (1976), Amar Akbar Anthony (1977), and Yaarana (1981). Her performance in these and many more films earned her critical acclaim and a loyal fan base.

Personal Life

Neetu Singh got married to another Bollywood superstar, Rishi Kapoor in 1980. They have two children, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Ranbir Kapoor, both of whom are successful in their respective careers. Singh and Kapoor appeared in many films together, and their on-screen chemistry was much appreciated by the audience. After Kapoor’s death in 2020, Neetu Singh has been staying with her children.
