Olivia Rodrigo’s Biting Return to the Top

After 2 years since releasing her last song, music sensation Olivia Rodrigo is back with her new song vampire that debuted last night. The building anticipation that had fans waiting for her new single was evident as the music video garnered over a million views in just an hour. Rodrigo had taken to Instagram two weeks ago to announce the song after dropping cryptic clues in some prior posts that had fans wondering when the announcement was going to come.

In the past 17 hours, vampire has already climbed to Number 3 on the iTunes Top Songs chart and fans are expecting to see the singer’s name a lot more on the Billboard Chart with Rodrigo’s new album coming in September. Earlier this week, she posted the album cover on Instagram that stars the singer-actress lying on a purple background biting her fingers that feature rings spelling out “GUTS”- the name of her second album.

Her first album SOUR debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 Chart spending five weeks there becoming the longest number one album by a female artist in 2021. With 582.8 million streams, drivers license was the most streamed song of 2021. good 4 u also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Rodrigo is the first artist to start her music career with her first three singles in the top 10 on the Hot 100 chart. After the incredible way her first album did, fans are excited to see what Rodrigo has planned for the second one.
