SRK’s Pathaan Breaking Global Records
After a four year hiatus, Shah Rukh Kahn made a big comeback to the Bollywood screen.
His new movie Paathan is breaking records globally in the three weeks it has been out in cinema.
The action-packed movie’s star-studded cast including Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, and SRK himself had the biggest opening weekend of a Bollywood movie worldwide, grossing $39 million (Rs 313 crore).
This puts Paathan among the top movies to come out of India, along with RRR, which recently won a Golden Globe, and Baahubali 2. On Thursday, the movie grossed Rs 970 globally and is on the rise. It is hoping to join India’s Rs 1000 crore club, which is equivalent to around $135 million USD.
