Rihanna’s “Super” Comeback

After a long five years, Rihanna graced the world’s biggest stage during the Super Bowl LVII halftime show. The last time the singer released an album was 2016, and the last time she performed was at the 2018 Grammys, so fans had been anxiously awaiting her return, and she did not disappoint.

Her 13-minute set was full of her hits like “Umbrella”, “We Found Love” and “Diamonds” Although some fans were upset she didn’t sing her other hits like “S&M,” according to Rolling Stone, the singer had to cut down her setlist from 39 minutes to 13 so some songs unfortunately had to get cut.

The stage she performed on also had people talking as it consisted of several levitating platforms. The bright red stage on the ground matched with her all-red outfit that contrasted with the white, puffy outfits worn by her backup dancers.

However, the biggest kicker was Rihanna announcing her pregnancy with the performance. Even though people were expecting a special guest star, the unborn child was the surprise Rihanna had planned all along.
