Unique Homecoming of India’s Daughter 

Geeta, the daughter of India was only seven or eight year old when she got lost near India Pakistan border and was discovered by Pakistani security forces.  Later she was handed over to the shelter in Karachi that was run by the charitable Edhi Foundation and since then she has been living there.

A young speech and hearing impaired Indian girl who accidentally strayed into city of Lahore in Pakistan is now 23 years old and finally being reunited today in India.  It was few months ago when ‘uniquely similar story’ film ‘Bajarangi Bhaijaan’ was released across the world, which provoked the officials of India and Pakistan and made it possible for Geeta to reunited with her family.  This special homecoming was made possible by Indian government taking up the ever so talked about role of Salman Khan in bringing Geeta home after 15 years.

This Bollywood linked unique real life homecoming has brought joy and tears both at same time as Geeta landed at New Delhi airport.
