Wesley Snipes loves “Bollywood” music.

When a true blue Hollywood action hero confesses his love for musicals – especially Bollywood – that’s really something.

Actor Wesley Snipes, popular for his role of vampire hunter superhero, Blade, says that he loves Bollywood films because of the song and dance routines. “I’ve met Shah Rukh Khan, twice I think, and I told him that I love watching musicals, and that’s why I like Bollywood films.”

The 53-year-old adds, “Music is the key to life, and honestly, working in a musical is so much fun. Besides, a little bit of song and dance will be really good for the world.”

Snipes, who will soon be seen in the upcoming American TV series The Players, also revealed that before becoming an action star, he wanted to act in musicals.

“Few people know that I started off with classical theatre. Then came martial arts – and the rest is history,” he says, adding, “I love listening to Indian music. It’s so unique, it blends western sounds with Indian instruments. I like traditional music from Kerala. The interesting remixes with Tamil music are played a lot in Canada. I love Indian film music too, especially remixes. I think they are really good!”
