Aamir Khan collapses on ‘Dangal’ set.
Superstar Aamir Khan who was supposed to arrive in Mumbai three weeks later, will be returning to the city today owing to his ill health leaving the shoot of his film Dangal mid-way. The shoot of the film which was kick started in Ludhiana in September had to be stalled after Aamir Khan collapsed at the Guru Nanak stadium located in the town.
The unit was left aghast when Aamir suddenly fell whilst shooting a long action sequence. While the actor was immediately given first aid, he was still in extreme pain and the unit decided to hospitalize him. He was later diagnosed with a shoulder injury after which the doctors asked him to take bed rest for the next eight days along with a heavy dose of painkillers. Aamir Khan is accompanied by his wife Kiran Rao and his youngest son Azad, who had visited the actor during Diwali to celebrate the occasion. Meanwhile, Aamir Khan updated his health status on twitter stating “Hey guys its not such a major injury. My back muscle has gone into a spasm. A week of rest and I will be back on shoot”.
Dangal is based on real life wrestler Mahavir Phogat and Aamir plays the protagonist. The film directed by Nitesh Tiwari is slated to release on December 23, 2016.
