The generous gift came from the Pagidipati family, a prominent Tampa family with a long history in the healthcare industry. The donation was made in honor of the family patriarch, Devaiah, and matriarch, Rudrama, celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary and their 50th year living in the United States.

“This is an unprecedented act of generosity,” said BayCare Health System’s president and CEO Stephanie Conners. “The funds will be used to build a new freestanding children’s hospital, further enhancing the exceptional care provided by St. Joseph’s.”

The new hospital will significantly expand St. Joseph’s capacity to serve the community’s young patients. This is especially important considering the growing population in the Tampa Bay area.

The Pagidipati family’s contribution serves as a shining example of philanthropy’s power to make a positive impact. Their generosity will ensure St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital can continue providing world-class care for generations.
