Akshay Kumar, Martial Arts And Women Safety

Akshay Kumar, who has worn many hats in his lifetime has always been an active advocate of martial arts. The actor is in process of launching more centers for self-defense for women, all free of cost.

“I teach Martial Arts to 300 girls every week. From Corporate to media to house maids everyone. But we don’t have enough space. I am going to open more classes in next couple of months. And its all free of cost”, says Akshay Kumar.

Inspired from his upcoming film ‘Gabbar Is Back’ in which he creates a an army to fight corruption and crime, Akshay is planning to open 10 more such centers and setting a goal to teach self defense to as many women as possible so they can protect themselves. This great initiative is much needed currently in India where women’s safety is a huge issue.
