Bollywood joins "Your Voice Their World"

“Your Voice Their World” is an initiative by Omron and the National Association for the Blind which aims to create the worlds largest audio library of poems for the visually impaired.

“Poetry has a positive effect on visually impaired people.” – said a spokesman from the organization.

India is home to the world’s largest number of visually impaired people, with 15 million visually impaired persons out of the worlds 37 million.

Many Bollywood celebrities have lend their voice to this cause and recorded poems to share.  Some known names include Farhan Akhtar, Atif Aslam, Anupam Kher, Dia Mirza, and Rahul Bose.  The movement isnt limited to the likes of celebs only, anyone can log into the “Your Voice Their World” website and contribute by recording a poem to upload.
