Dubai’s “Bollywood Park” searches for Stars

Singers, dancers and acrobats get set as the search for performers for the world’s first Bollywood-themed park has officially begun.

Dubai Parks and Resorts, the Middle East’s largest integrated theme park resort, has launched a search for performers for a variety of shows across its parks and at the world’s first Bollywood themed park, Bollywood Parks Dubai. Bollywood Parks Dubai is scheduled to open in October next year.

The park is also hunting for Bollywood lookalikes and stunt actors, so if you think you’re a dead ringer for Shah Rukh Khan, or you’re a fearless wannabe actor, this could be your time to shine.

The shortlisted performers will later be auditioned in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata and Dubai by a panel of experts.

“At Bollywood Parks Dubai we want to showcase the very best of India through music, dance and culture,” said Thomas Jellum, the park’s general manager.

“We are extremely excited to launch this campaign, which will give the selected performers the opportunity to be part of one of the most exciting destinations in the region.”

Viraf Sarkari, director of Wizcraft International, which will identify the talent, said: “We are extremely happy that Bollywood Parks Dubai chose India to kick-start the auditions for the musical.

“We will ensure that no talent goes unnoticed and will create a power troop of the best to represent India at the first-ever Bollywood-themed park in the world.”

Artists will be performing at the park’s Rajmahal Theater, which is a 60,000-square-foot theater with 850 seats and will feature Bollywood-style music with state-of-the-art LED backdrops.

The park is located on Sheikh Zayed Road, opposite the Palm Jebel Ali. It will feature cinematic rides and attractions and live shows that bring to life the action, music, dance and drama of Bollywood.

During the day, the park will have up to 30 live shows across five stages, in addition to the Rajmahal Theater and Rock On!! Restaurant.

The park will also offer six themed restaurants and eight retail outlets.
