Kunal Kapoor Crowd Funding for Nepal

“With the recent Nepal Earth Quake, Bollywood Actor Kunal Kapoor took to “Crowd Funding” to raise funds to help those affected by this tragedy.

The massive earthquake of magnitude 7.8 on Richter scale (as per USGS) struck Nepal on 25th of April 2015. Widespread damage, destruction and loss of live have been reported. The earthquake jolted the neighboring countries and strong tremors were felt in India, Bhutan and China

“Hi guys, I’m Kunal Kapoor. I’ve been watching the news coverage of the earthquake in Nepal and it’s saddening, the number of people whose homes and lives have just been wiped out…. I want to do something to help them. And I know there are people just like me, who want to help too.” – Kapoor posted on his Crowd Funding page at Ketto.

Kapoor also took to Social Media sending out tweets to spread the message.

“The fund raised will go to CARE INDIA who will be working with its team from CARE NEPAL and utilizing the same to dispurse survival kits to the affected families and individuals in Nepal.” – said Kapoor in a statement.
