Look who made it on QS World University Rankings 2015/16 List
It is for the first time that India had finally made to the list of top 200 universities globally. The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore ranking at 147 and Indian Intitute of Technology in Delhi (IITD) raking at 179. Indian Intitute of Bombay (IITB) ranking at 202 have made it on Quacquarelli Symonds’ (QS) list. Indian institute of Bombay (IITB) almost made it to top 200, ranking at #202.
The top three on the list are: ‘University of Cambride’ raked at #3, ‘Harvard Univesity’ raked at #2 and ‘Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)’ steadily holding its position for years ranked at #1.
United States holding stead fast and rising position in top 200, although London is the only city in the world holdling it’s spot with four universities in the top 50. There are 34 countries represented in top 200 on the list.
This is ofcourse a small step up for India, ranking at 147 & 149, but with necessary resources and financial aid to educational institutes and proper support to the faculty it sure to rise in the future as far as ranking goes. For now it’s a proud moment to celebrate making it to top 200.
