Losers are not defined by what the world thinks of you, but rather defined by what you think of yourself.

Chhichore is the story of a young boy pursuing his JEE entrance examination. He is extremely tense as well as burdened by the achievemts of his ranker mom (Maya) playeed by Sharaddha Kapoor and Dad (Anni) played by Sushant Singh.Unable to fathom the failure in the entrance exam and convinced the world will see him as a Loser he decides to end his life by jumping off of a high rise. Admitted in the ICU unwilling to live any longer his dad decides to narrate him the story of his college days.

The storyline of Chhichhore runs accross two parallel generations when Anni celebrated the best years of his life in much dreaded section of the hostel, H4 tagged as Losers. He made friends and memories that would stick around with him for life. Friends who inspite of not having stayed in touch with would all show up to the hospital for moral support many years later when called upon.It is here where he also met the love of his life Maya.

Anni and his hostel stay H4 was tagged as losers as they had not won the college champions league competition between each hostel section in years, only managing to come last in the race. It is here where the journey to rid themselves of the loser tag began.

The first half of the movie is emotional and hilarious in equal measure. Each character has a special relevance and potrays their role perfectly well. But it is the second half where Nitesh Tiwari comes into his own and shows great direction/writng prowess by not only keeping the audience entertained but as well glued to their seats curious to find out what happens next.

The background score of the movie adds to the narrative and makes an additional impact to the funny as well as dramatic scenes
Shraddha Kapoor as Maya does a good job in her potrayal of the mother worried about the life of her only son as well as the college sweetheart.

Sushant Singh does full justice to the enthusiatic, young college student and also as the doting elder father. In his intial few scenes as the father we see him struggling a bit but he comes into his own and connects with the character as the movie moves along.

The main highlight of the movie is its supporting cast. Varun Sharma, Pratiek, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Naveen Polishetty, Tushar Pandey and Saharsh Kumar Shukla as Sushant’s college buddies all have a special role to play and they do amazingly well to make this an entertaining watch. Varun Sharma as Sexa requires a special mention for his funny potrayal of the character.

Last but not the least the star of the movie is its director Nitesh Tiwari. Tiwari does amazingly well to potray an original and importantly relevant story in a much entertaining and engaging fashion. There are many ways this movie could have gone wrong or been less impactful but so was not to be the case.

Chhichhore is one of the best wrriten orignal screenplay as well amazingly directed movie by Nitesh Tiwari. This deserves big big kudos making it a must must watch for all age groups. Needless to say this for me is the best movie of 2019. Watch it without fail
