Visually impressive Hawaizaada was a good attempt made by digging into few important but forgotten or skipped over pages of history book. The biographical film is based on the life of an Indian scientist Shivkar Bapuji Talpade, who is credited to have constructed India’s first unmanned plane is the tale of the hardships that he went through on the journey to discover. Film is set in the pre-independence era of Bombay of1895.
Impressive performance by Ayushmann Khurrana as Shivkar Talpade but definitely not his best. Mithun Chakraborty’s role as Shastriji kept the film entertaining in some instances. Last by not least the Indian-Australian film/theatre actress and dancer Pallavi Sharda has yet to open up as a good actor and performer in the industry. I do have to agree the costume designed for this movie set well with the period and the character it was portraying.
There sure were dull moments in the film but if you are a fan of Bollywood melodrama or a die-hard fan of Ayusmann Khurrana then Hawaizaada is the film for you.
