Mr. Bachchan Talks Kids and Internet

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has revealed India’s first co-created online ecosystem, worldoo.com is website for children aged six to 12.  The special event took place at a suburban five star venue in Mumbai along with founder Mr Monish Ghatalia.

Launched in association with Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, worldoo.com helps kids take their first step onto the wonderful world of the internet!

Ghatalia the founder of worldoo.com is expecting that the platform will sure receive the love and support from both parents and children across the country. He said that “the main aim of foundation is to ensure a satisfying and value based online experience for children on the internet and we also hope to open to the lines of communication between parent and child in this internet age which is of critical importance”.

Mr. Bachchan said, “I have closely been following the developments of worldoo.com and am quite excited by how it has taken shape. The participation of children, parents and teachers contributing towards the look and feel has been extremely overwhelming.  This only goes to show how much more involved the Indian parent is becoming towards their child’s internet activities which would help them become more responsible in their usage.  worldoo.com has been extremely foresighted in understanding the relationship of children to the digital world and ensured that they gain only quality content.  Having started at a time when acceptance for internet for kids was low, worldoo.com has been able to understand the role of the parent in this journey.  Having done so, the platform is a perfect synthesis of balancing a child’s needs and a parent’s concerns.  Just like we hold our child’s hand and teach them to walk, in a similar way, guiding them to take their first steps on the online world is immensely critical.  worldoo.com is just one step in this direction which we can envision to be a community effort going forward.”

Taking about his own grand-daughter Mr. Bachchan mentioned “These days Aaradhya talks non-stop and I would like to learn that trait from her.”

“When Aaradhya was one and a half year old she started playing games on iPad, searching for her favorite cartoons,” Bachchan added.

Mr. Bachchan also added “70 years back, there was nothing of this sort for us..we used to play marbles, ride bicycle, we used to get knowledge from schools and stories narrated by our elders. Today’s children are aware about latest technology.”  Indeed, such a true statement!  Kids now a days have access to a whole lot more and that too with a touch of their finger.
