‘Siya Ke Ram’: Tribute to Modern Indian Women
Star Plus is all set to launch the different perspective of the ever so mythological epic Ramayan from Sita’s perspective and it’s called ‘Siya Ke Ram’ which will start beginning of November. The show will chronicle the journey of Sita and Ram and the unseen love story of Ramayan.
The show will take a weeknight primetime slot starting November 2nd, 2015. Ashish Sharma, who also played in historical drama series Chandragupta Maurya will be playing the character of Ram and Mrunal Thakur, who plays ‘Bulbul Arora’ in KumKum Bhagya will be playing the role of Sita in ‘Siya Ke Ram.’
“Star Plus wants to present Sita as a multi-faceted woman with a mind of her own who was Ram’s ardhangini in the true sense of the word, thus making her relatable to every woman of today. Sita continues to be relevant to this day and we want to pay tribute to the modern Indian woman by presenting Sita’s inspiring story,” said sources at the Star Plus channel.
