The Cricket World Cup 2023: Which teams will qualify?

The upcoming Cricket World Cup 2023 is undoubtedly one of the most significant events in the sports world. The remaining six teams will go through the qualification rounds. These teams are expected to come from the International Cricket Council (ICC) associate member countries.

The ten teams that will automatically qualify for the tournament include India, Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, West Indies, and Afghanistan. These top-ten teams have qualified based on their rankings as of April 2021.

On the other hand, the six teams that must undergo the qualification process include Oman, Scotland, the Netherlands, UAE, Nepal, and Namibia. These teams will be divided into two groups, with each group consisting of three teams. The top two teams from each group will move on to the Super Six round, where they will play against the other group’s top two teams. The top three teams from the Super Six round will qualify for the World Cup 2023.

Apart from the exciting games, the tournament will attract a lot of attention as it is expected to be the last World Cup for some of the big names in cricket, like Ross Taylor, Chris Gayle, and MS Dhoni.
