Trump & Indian CEO’s meet to discuss economy

US President Donald Trump hosted a private dinner at his New Jersey golf club to hear the perspective on the sate of the country’s economy which included PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi and MasterCard’s CEO Ajay Banga.

In a statement, The White House said that this was an opportunity for the President to hear how the economy is doing from their perspective and what their priorities and thoughts are for the year ahead. While addressing the dinner, Trump said he was meeting with some of the top business leaders in the world and referred to PepsiCo CEO Nooyi as one of the most powerful women in the world.

“You talk about business, this is the group. And we’re so honored to have you. And we’re gonna be discussing later on some of the key ideas you may have to, as the expression goes, make America great again.”

Among the 15 business leaders attending the dinner were Fiat Chrysler CEO Michael Manley and Boeing’s CEO Dennis Muilenburg. Trump added that the group had been “big beneficiaries” of his policies and helped in many cases.  The President also predicted economic growth next quater “could be in the fives”.
