Kiran Rao to be the Head of NFDC's Film center 'FilmBay'

Kiran Rao, a Director/Producer/Script writer and wife of super star Aamir Khan has been appointed creative director of Mumbai’s first arthouse cinema ‘FilmBay’. It is an initiative by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) and said to be launch by the end of 2015.

“It has long been my dream to have a space for cinema as art, where one can experience and engage in different ways with a diverse and challenging array of films, and FilmBay is that dream coming true,” said Kiran

Many other celebrities are to be supporting FilmBay with there expertise are Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap, Anupama Chopra, Rohan Sippy & Dibakar Banarjee.

Cinemas of art related to Asian films are more seen abroad promoting Asian independent films. Mumbai being the Indian Film industry hub is a perfect place to have a dedicated place for FilmBay.
