Taylor Swift Surprises with New Deluxe Album
Taylor Swift surprises her fans once again. Last week, the singer-songwriter announced and released a new Midnights (Till Dawn Edition) deluxe album. The next album includes songs from the original Midnights album as well as Snow on the Beach (feat. More Lana Del Ray), which – you guessed it – features more Lana Del Ray on the track.
On her Instagram announcement, Swift wrote, “You asked for it, we listened: Lana and I went back to the studio specifically to record more Lana on Snow on the Beach.” Fans are ecstatic that the record-breaking artist listened to their requests and provided.
The new album also features new and rising artist Ice Spice on Karma. The Munch rapper even got to make a special guest appearance during Swift’s Eras Tour this weekend in New Jersey along with Jack Antonoff who joined her in singing Getaway Car as one of her surprise songs.
However, the Ice Spice feature comes at a tumultuous time for the Eras artist in light of the news about her new relationship with singer Matt Healy who has previously made racist remarks about Ice Spice.
The album also comes with two new songs: Hits Different and a special song titled You’re Losing Me, which was only made available on a special edition CD sold at the East Rutherford show site this past weekend. The song refers to the singer’s recent breakup with actor Joe Alwyn and references past songs that Swift had previously wrote about him. With her next show coming up in Chicago, fans might get lucky if she chooses to play some of these new hits as her surprise songs on her tour.
