Vidya Balan's new role

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan will be playing the role of late actress Suchitra Sen who passed away in 2014 for her next project.

The actress has been considering four scripts, two of which are biopics – one of late actor Suchitra Sen, and the other of late Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. “I am reading four scripts, and before my next with Emraan releases, I will start working on one of the offered scripts…” said Balan

Balan will complete training in the art of an Indian dance form known as Kathak in preparation for the film.

A spokesperson from the Balan camp tells us that “She admires the late actor, and since it’s a biopic, she wants her portrayal to be authentic. After the makers informed her that she will have Kathak dance sequences in the film, she asked them to arrange for a teacher.”
